R. Terrence Coyle

Mr. Coyle is a 1962 graduate of The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina, and as a cadet officer achieved the rank of Company Commander and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. After graduation, Mr. Coyle joined the United States Army and achieved the rank of Airborne Captain within the United States Army Engineering Corp specializing in bridge construction.

Upon entering private life in 1967, Mr. Coyle accepted an engineering position with Tampa Bay Engineering and migrated to the Tampa Bay area as a Civil Engineer. In 1969, he began his lifelong career in the construction industry when he became the youngest project manager in the history of Rutenberg Homes (now U.S. Homes) located in Pinellas County, Florida.

In 1969, Mr. Coyle, already known for his construction expertise, opened his own construction company in the resort community of St. Petersburg Beach, Florida and built approximately 350 apartments and condominium units during the next few years.
